Climate change has been in the news a lot more in recent times. Record weather temperatures and crazy weather are not making things any easier.
It is true that we can all make a difference but what I love to see is the younger generation taking action.
These kids at a primary school outside Bantry in West Cork, Ireland made this fantastic rap about climate change.
Teacher Olive Creed says the kids were inspired by a project they did, looking at plastic waste in Bantry Bay.
The children wanted to spread the message to other school children as to how they too could make a difference in their own small way,” says Olive.
After discussion and brainstorming, it was decided that a music video was the way to go. Contact was made with Garry McCarthy, GMC Beats, and he came to Cappabue NS for a Song in a Day workshop. Working in groups, the children came up with the entire content of the song themselves.
Garry set up a recording desk in the classroom and, under his expert direction, “One Small Change” was born!

This is Grand, I'm sending it to all the teachers I know to encourage them to get involved with their students to do similar projects.
