Let’s face it when it comes to Irish names and pronunciation; it is no easy task. Especially if you are visiting Ireland. I came across this brilliant video from Lee Mack(comedian) of him doing a bit of stand-up on the struggle of Irish names and their pronunciation.
Some Irish names he mentions are Siobhan and Niamh. Growing up in Ireland, I have even struggled with some names; however, they all become easy with a bit of time. For me, the first time trying to pronounce Fiadh was hard. It is pronounced ‘fee-a’, in case you are wondering.
