I hope you have been enjoying my Irish history section every week. Over the weeks I have had everything from a 100-year Irish doctor to Mel Gibson. Now today I found an emotional video from a 93-year-old Irish soldier. He describes what World War One was like.
The video has an incredible 2.6 million views. For his age, his mental acuity is just amazing. Sadly he passed away four years after this interview at the incredible age of 97. The interview was on RTE’s Late Late Show interviewed by Gay Burne.
