Celtic Thunder who do not shy away from theatrical acts has just exceeded over 8 million views on what has to be one of their most powerful performances of all time. 

Celtic Thunder ‘Heartland’ has been viewed over 8 million times on Youtube and has been known as one of their most powerful songs.

You really can play it over and over again it is such a feel-good song!

For those that don’t speak Irish the chorus goes like this:

Sadly the video you see below features Celtic Thunder’s principal singer George Donaldson, 46, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014, after suffering a massive heart attack at his home in Glasgow, Scotland.

At Scotland’s Celtic Park, Donaldson played to 65,000 fans at the opening match of the 2000-2001 season.

Celtic Thunder started In 2007 producer Sharon Browne filmed the first-ever Celtic Thunder show at the Helix in Dublin, Ireland.

The concept was to feature a group of men from Ireland and Scotland.

They also were to range in age from 14 to 40 and feature songs that celebrate a common Celtic heritage.

Since the original group’s formation in 2007, Celtic Thunder has released twelve albums as well as ten live performances on DVD, three of which were split into two releases.
