I always like quick summaries of things and Irish history or any topic on history for that matter.
I just enjoy learning about it in summarized points.
John D. Ruddy does an excellent job of summarizing Irish history in just under 6 minutes.
My only regrets about the video are that there is a continuous and strange grunting noise that is played throughout the video.
BUT don’t let that deter you, it is a fantastic video and even if you are well versed in Irish history or just curious about it then this is a great an easy watch.
Over the years I have covered a lot of Irish heritage in the form of ancient Celtic Symbols but if you would like to see more posts like this or more posts on Irish history then be sure to leave a comment below.
If you don’t know already Ireland’s first inhabitants landed between 8000 BC and 7000 BC.
Around 1200 BC, the Celts came to Ireland and their arrival has had a lasting impact on Ireland’s culture today.
The video on YouTube has well over half a million views so you know that it is worth the watch. I just watched it for the second time and still learnt a bit.
Using funny pictures and language, he gives a quick account of what happened in Ireland, starting in the 7,200 BC and the arrival of St. Patrick in 432 AD to the Irish rebellion in the early 1900s and Ireland in the 21st century.
